Bobbi Jankovich: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, AAMFT-Approved Clinical Supervisor, and Associate Professor for the Phillips Graduate Institute’s Master of Marriage and Family Therapy program at the Los Angeles Education Center of Campbellsville University.
Bobbi is the course chair Emerging Systems Theories, including the postmodernism and emerging trauma-related perspectives. She is also the director of the trauma-informed trainee program in the counseling center and supervises in the postmodern associateship. In her private practice, utilizing a trauma-informed, postmodern perspective, Bobbi works with clients who find themselves stuck, unable to move forward or create change often due to the lingering effects of recent or childhood adverse or traumatic experiences. Her core belief is that every human being has unique strengths, resiliency, and resources that are often obscured or minimized from the effects of those underlying adverse experiences. She incorporates emerging concepts from neuroscience, attachment theory, mindfulness, and somatic perspectives—including EMDR—in supporting clients as they move towards a full mind and body recovery. “What I love most about supervising and teaching is the opportunity to be at beginning of someone’s journey to this profession… to witness and mentor as students transform. I believe you cannot succeed in this program or this career without experiencing a profound personal shift. People come to us in their most vulnerable states. It is an honor to walk beside them as they seek healing and change. The road toward licensure is long and challenging and exhausting, but it is also a gift and an honor. And I love helping students make their way through the process.”
